Our Story
A1 Aging in Place was founded in 2009 after our founder spent two years helping his own parents navigate the challenges of aging in their Eugene home. He saw firsthand how difficult it was to find a contractor who understood both the technical requirements of accessibility modifications and the emotional weight of the decision.
He earned his CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) certification through the National Association of Home Builders and built a team that shares the same values: technical excellence, honest communication, and genuine care for the families we serve.
Today we're one of only six CAPS-certified contractors in Lane County, with 3,400+ completed projects and a 4.9-star rating across 127 Google reviews.
